Why we do it

For all of us it’s a fun and healthy activity to help a worthwhile cause, for some the reason is more serious.

All of us know someone affected by Breast Cancer.  Ourselves, our family, our friends or neighbours, we don’t have to look far to find someone.  When it is diagnosed you can be sure that it will be a life changing experience.

Our message is positive, we can do something to help.  Medical advances have seen tremendous leaps and bounds over the years, and many more women and men win there fight with Breast Cancer today than ever before.

Research is the key, and one day we hope it will provide the answer to prevent and cure this illness, forever.

Since its launch in 2006 the Moonlight Prowl has attracted support from hundreds of women in the battle against breast cancer.

Over £345,000 has been donated to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Breast Care Centre and, thanks to the support of The Rowett Research Institute and Aberdeen University, a number of potentially life saving and ground breaking research programmes have been established.

The Moonlight Prowl is not only committed to raising money for Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s Breast Care Centre but will also encourage participants to stay fit and healthy, by promoting exercise as a vital part of cancer prevention.

What have we accomplished
We raised £124,000 in 2009, with your help we can raise more...so what’s
stopping you?

Make 2010 the year YOU made a difference!
